The Prophetic Season of Praise (5) — Seeing Holiness, Walking Separate
SCRIPTURE TEXT
Read Isaiah 6:1–7; Revelation 4:1–11; 2 Corinthians 6:14–18
THOUGHT
When they exalted God in praise and in worship, Angels don't cry out and say, "Eternal, Eternal, Eternal,"; they don't say, "Faithful, Faithful, Faithful,"; "Wise, Wise, Wise"; or "Mighty, Mighty, Mighty." They say, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty" (Revelation 4:8).
Of course, God is eternal, faithful, wise, and mighty, but during deep praise and in worship, His Holiness is what we see. His holiness is the crown of all that God is.
Exodus 15:11 asks:
"Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders?"
The answer, of course, is that no being is equal to God in holiness. In fact, holiness is so uniquely and exclusively an attribute of God that Psalm 111:9 says, "Holy and awesome is His name." That doesn't merely mean that the name of God is sacred and sanctified; it means holiness is so much the essence of God's character that Holy is one of the names God goes by.
Now in a season of judgement, God's holy character is deeply on display and since He doesn't want us to be a part of the judgement of Babylon, He calls out for us to come out of Babylon:
"Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
— 2 Corinthians 6:17
In the season of Prophetic Praise, Holiness is the highest revelation God wants us to grasp, and it's God's great clarion call:
"Then I heard another voice from heaven say: 'Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.'"
— Revelation 18:4
PRAYERS
1. Sing with the ascended Saints:
"Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders?"
— Exodus 15:11
2. Sing with the Angels and Seraphs:
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
— Isaiah 6:3
3. Ask for grace to go into the depth of praise and worship and to continually see His Holiness this year.
4. If there is any unequal yoking with Babylon in your life, repent before God and make a commitment to stay out of Babylon this year. Babylon is being judged.
